Dedication to Prayer
Posted April 03, 2007

Lord, we
will seek You until You come, and rain righteousness upon us. (Hos. 10:12)

Lord, we devote ourselves to prayer. Help us to keep alert in it, with thanksgiving. (Col. 3:2)

Lord, we ought always to pray and not lose heart. (Lk
. 18:1)

Teach us Lord, in everything, by prayer and supplication to make our requests known to you.
(Ph
il. 4:6).

O Lord, keep us from the sin of ceasing to pray for the people of God. (1 Samuel
. 12:23)

Help us Lord
, to not stop giving thanks to you for the people of God, making mention of them in
our prayers. (Eph. 1:16; 1 Cor. 1:4)   Help us to remember them.  Give us joy as we pray for
those who are partners with [us] in the gospel (Ph
il. 1:4,5)   Help us to not stop praying for the
church that You will fill them with the knowledge of Your will through all spiritual wisdom and
understanding. (Col. 1:9)

Help us Lord
, to remember to pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and petition, and to be
on the alert with perseverance and petition for all the saints. (Eph. 6:18)

Help us Lord
, to give thanks in everything (1 Thess. 5:18)
Help us Lord
, to pray without ceasing. (1 Thess. 5:17)

Help us Lord
, to keep on the alert at all times and pray always that we may have strength to
escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man. (Lk.
21:36)

In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, AMEN.
Scriptural Prayers for Those Bound By Addictions

The following are Scriptures to pray when you lift others to the Lord in prayer who are held
captive by addiction to alcohol, drugs, and other substances.  These prayers are based on the
Word of God.  Pray them with confidence and expectancy.  Place the name of the person or
persons for whom you are praying in the blank spaces, ask God and depend on Him to bring
them to a place of salvation. Continually bring them before God in prayer until you know you
have received His answer. Praise God and thank Him!

Father God, I pray that through your precious Holy Spirit, You would humble __________ and
countless others so that they see their need of Jesus Christ (Psalm 18:27; Proverbs 8:13, 29:
23).

Lord I pray all these things not to benefit myself but for the benefit of the one I am lifting to You,
that he may walk in fullness of joy on this earth and for eternity.

In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I decree it to be so according to the mighty and
powerful Word of God. Amen.
