A Prayer For Our Governor

O, Lord God of Absolute Might and Power, we beseech you on behalf of our Community’s Governor.
Keep him in all Your ways. Teach him to number his days aright, that he may gain a heart of wisdom. Give
him wisdom and knowledge that he may go out and come in before the people of this Community: for who
can judge this your people that is so great?

God, pour out Your Spirit upon him, that he may see visions, which you reveal to him. Help him to express
or write it down plainly so people will understand it quickly and be encouraged by it—and thus run/hasten
    to tell/inform others.

We pray that the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, as well as the Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
and the Spirit of counsel and might, and the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.

Lord, we pray that he receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon him.

We decree in the Mighty name of Jesus that because he is Your servant, the Spirit of the Lord is upon him
to defeat his enemies just as it was for Samson, Saul, and David.

O, Lord God, let it be that his staff, coworkers, associates are happy, and that his servants/assistants are
happy, which work with him day to day, and hear his wisdom.

God let this be your covenant with him: God's Spirit, who is upon me, and God's Words, which He has put
in my mouth, shall not depart from my mouth ... from this time and forevermore.

Lord, we pray that You will cause him to turn to heed the rebuke of wisdom and that You would cause the
Spirit of wisdom to be poured out upon him, and that You would cause the words of wisdom to be made
    known to him.

We pray O, God, that this prayer would be a seal upon him and we look to You to perform Your word in
his life and in his work.  We stand in agreement with Your word that no weapon formed against him shall
    prosper.

In Jesus’ name we pray.  Amen.

                                                              Warriors Prayer

Gracious God, we acknowledge that You are worthy of all honor, glory and praise.  We are
thankful for the victorious work of Jesus Christ at Calvary for us.  We appropriate that victory
for ourselves now as we willingly surrender every area of our life to Your will.

Thank you for the forgiveness and righteousness that has been given to us as Your adopted
children.  We trust in Your protection and provision daily.  We know that your love for us
    never ceases.

We rejoice in Your victory, our Lord, over all the principalities and powers in the heavenlies.
In faith we stand in Your victory and commit ourselves to live obediently for You our King.

We desire that our fellowship with You become greater.  Reveal to us those things that grieve
You and enables the enemy to secure an advantage in our life.  We need the Holy Spirit's
powerful ministry in our life; bringing conviction of sin, repentance of heart, strengthening of
faith and increasing perseverance in resisting temptation.

Help us to die to self and walk in the victory of the new creation You have provided for us.  Let
the fruits of the Spirit flow out of our life so that You will be glorified through our life.

We know that it is Your will that we should stand firm and resist all of the enemy's work against
us.  Help us to discern the attacks upon our thoughts and emotions.  Enable us to stand upon
Your Word and resist all the accusations, distortions and condemnations that are hurled
    against us.

It is our desire to be transformed through the renewing of our mind, so that we will not
compromise with the ways of the world, or yield to the enemy's attacks, but be obedient to
    Your will.

We draw upon those spiritual resources that You have provided us and we attack the
strongholds and plans of the enemy that have been put in place against us.  We command in
the name of Jesus Christ that the enemy must release our mind, will, emotions and body
completely.  They have been yielded to you Lord and we belong to You.

Lord, enable us to become the person You created us to be.  Help us as we pray to be strong
in faith.  Show us how to apply Your Word in our life each day.  We know that we wear the full
armor of God when we are committed to and stand firmly upon Your Word.  We want You to
have the supreme place in our life.

We surrender ourselves completely to You, Lord.  You are always faithful and You extend
Your grace to us constantly, even when we do not realize it.  We claim Your promise of
forgiveness and cleansing in its fullness.  In faith, we receive the victory today that you have
already put in place for us.  We do this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior with a grateful
    heart.  AMEN
